Rita Ora is among the generation of pop stars who mostly rely on social media like Twitter and Facebook to help hype their careers around the globe. But she will be left wishing she hadn't tweeted a certain post after it spectacularly backfired.
The R.I.P. hitmaker took to Twitter on Friday and vowed to release a new track on Monday if the tweet had 100,000 re-tweets.

There was only one catch - less than 2,000 people retweeted . Close to 98,000 shy of her expectation.
Following the Twitter fail, the pop star quickly deleted the post.
