Tigo Music Unplugged Concert Report; Sarkodie,Davido, MzVee, 4×4 entertain fans

The concert organized by Tigo Ghana to launch their new product Tigo Music , a music streaming app made in partnership with Deezer.

I couldn't  make it to the event but big ups to the organizers who made it possible  to watch the whole show online through their live stream (tigomusic.com.gh).

Amekor Shola Evershed was there and these were her thoughts on the event

The Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, October 31, 2014 resounded to electrifying performances from Sarkodie, 4×4, Guru, MzVee, Shatta Wale and Nigerian showstopper, Davido. The concert was made free by the organizers and so it attracted thousands of music lovers who thronged the sports stadium to witness  performances from these  acts. DJ Black set the packed auditorium ablaze with wide selection of songs with  YFM host, Norkus as MC on the night.

Before the official arts billed for the show made appearances; Rashid Metal, Rudeboi Ranking, Oheema, Akoo Nana among other artists mounted the stage to do their own thing. Akoo Nana on the night came up stage with three (3) ladies without brassieres and they dressed like typical dipo girls to perform – prompting  organizers to ask the ladies to leave the stage.

Hiplife trio, 4×4 was the first headliner to mount the stage around 10:17pm. They were smart, decent and elegant; factors that not only showcased their music class and maturity but also their uniqueness. Full of energy, they performed more than 10 songs including Fresh One, Waist and Power, Baby Dance which features Davido and more.Guru’s performance was cool, sensationalMzVee was just awesome, thrilling the thousands to dazzling, electrifying and exciting performances. She performed Borko Borko, Revolution, Natural Girl among other songs.

Davido created rapport with the patrons leading to the patrons taken virtually over his job and singing along. Aye, Skelewu, Gobe were some of his hit songs he performed on the night. His performance was just ordinary but then because of his hit songs, the crowd was screaming and yearning for more.

Sarkodie’s entrance caused disarray when he mounted the stage at exactly 12:56am as the crowd rushed to go near the stage to have a feel of their star. In deed the security officers had a tough time controlling the teeming crowd. Sarkodie treated patrons to good music, dropping hit upon hit songs and showmanship as well. Performing close to 25 songs such as Original, Shots on shots, Illuminati, Dangerous, Adonai, Chingam(ft. Bisa Kdei), Sarkodie as usual put up an energetic, engaging and worth-watching musical performance, leaving revelers shouting and yearning for more. In the course of his performance, Pappy Kojo and Joey B made appearances performing their Wave song as well as Realer No. He ended his performance at 2:01am. The concert ended with a performance from Shatta walearound 3:00am.

All in all, it was a concert not to have been missed, but yes Tigo Communications Network deserves a big pat at their back, thank you, Tigo!!!
